The 14th Annual Information Security Summit will cap off SSW-2016 and will be held at LaCentre Conference Center in Westlake, Ohio. Last year more than 1000 participants were in attendance. Join Bay Pointe Technology as we welcome one of the Keynote Speakers, Michael Parker.
Thursday afternoon October 27, 2016 keynote speaker will be Mr. Michael Parker. Michael Parker is the VP of Collaboration where he is focused on new collaborative solutions for businesses on mobile. Prior to join.me, he co-founded the Zamurai, the highly acclaimed mobile whiteboard solution designed to let people brainstorm and visually collaborate with each other whether they are in the same room or half a world away (acquired and integrated into join.me). Before Zamurai, he was Vice-President of Enterprise Marketing at Symantec. He passionate about new ways for people collaborate virtually, and keenly aware of the security challenges facing businesses in this new app-driven mobile world.
Michael’s presentation is titled “IT and Security in the Snapchat Era“. SnapChat is great. What’s App is huge. Slack is anything but. Confide offers instantly disappearing messages. All while Pokemon Go accidentally asked for full access to your Gmail. The onslaught of mobile messaging and collaboration solutions are steamrolling the consumerization of IT, letting people work faster and more simply than ever before. But while this mix of asynchronous and synchronous collaboration reduces the friction in our interaction, it does not alleviate the responsibility for safe and secure interaction. Bottom line – security is not just IT, but the responsibility of every user. This session will discuss the trends impacting how the new generation of workers interact – and the new responsibilities for digital security.
